My name is Emily Marsden, I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor in Minnesota (#873) and a Registered Art Therapist. I attended Adler University in Chicago and completed my MA in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy in 2010. I have 12+ years experience working with adults (18+) with a variety of concerns ranging from life phases, self esteem, anxiety, depression, PTSD, Interpersonal Violence, and sexual violence.
I've been told that I am someone whom is caring, down-to-earth, (definitely not afraid to crack a joke or two) but also someone who isn't afraid to be candid and direct. I believe in direct, open, and clear communication are key elements in any healthy relationship. I come from a Trauma focused/holistic approach, I view therapy as a journey based on trust, mutual respect, and empathy. As an art therapist, art making has the ability to address ones experiences in a new way and heal the brain in the process. Ive specialized in this work with adults if they are willing and open to try something new- but its up to you! Reach out to see if we are a good fit for each other. We can start this journey together. Emily's Rates
